Hojin originated from Busan, South Korea. After completing her bachelor’s degree at the Korea National University of Arts, her passion for the recorder led her to Europe. There, Hojin continued her studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Conrad Steinmann and completed her master's degree and Master of Education both with the highest distinction. 

 

Several influences have been playing  a big role in shaping Hojin's music; the teachings of Conrad Steinmann, workshops and masterclasses conducted by Jörg-Andreas Bötticher, Kees Boeke, Han Tol and Pierre Hamon.

 

As a soloist, audiences throughout Europe had enjoyed Hojin’s music with various orchestras which has been broadcasted by the national Swiss radio channel SRF 2 Kultur.
